Speaker of 16th Tibetan Parliament-in-exile Khenpo Sonam Tenphel extended gratitude to Ms Élisabeth Toutut-Picard, French politician representing La République en Marche in the French National Assembly, 10 October 2018.

Dharamsala: Speaker of 16th Tibetan Parliament-in-exile Khenpo Sonam Tenphel extended gratitude to Ms Élisabeth Toutut-Picard, French politician representing La République en Marche in the French National Assembly for her efforts in reconstituting the largest Tibet Study Group in the Lower Chamber of the French parliament.

In his letter addressed to the French politician this Friday, Speaker said, “The situation inside Tibet is deteriorating and the situation under the Chinese government’s intensive political repression continues to remain grim and alarming.” View the official letter here.

Reiterating the gratitude felt by the Tibetan people towards the people and government of France for their support to Tibetan issues, he solicited for continuous support towards “the cause of Tibet to seek mutually beneficial long lasting negotiated settlement of the Tibet issue through the Middle Way Approach.”
